I think it has too much reverb/echo. It gives it lots of bounce but it's too much - for me. Cool tune, you kept the vibe with like you said minimal components....

... at least that's seems the common comparison. The music bed is reminiscent of the former, the vocal the latter.

The echo is in the guitar itself -- so there's no way of dialing it back. Keeping it simple got this whole project done in just a few hours.
