Hi all,

Retracked and improved one of my earlier song ideas. Feedback most welcome:

Race To The Bottom V2 by Jonathan Linton 4 | Free Listening on SoundCloud

LYRICS:

You’re cold, but you’re sweating
Your mind, ain’t forgetting
Your new primal need
For poison feed

Once more, you resolve
To fix a problem, you can’t solve
Shuttin’ out those that can
Soon feedin’ time again

Temporary hiding place
From the truth, that you can’t face

You’re in a race
A race to the bottom
Race
A race to the bottom

Regret, your decision
Dead set, indecision
Each crash sucks you in
To poison sin

Pitstop for you to feed
Obsessive need for speed
It’s a race, of attrition
And you got, pole position
Temporary hiding place
From the truth, that you can’t face

You’re in a race
A race to the bottom
Race
A race to the bottom

SOLO

You’re in a race
A race to the bottom
Race
A race to the bottom
Yeah
You’re in a race
(to the bottom)
Yeah
You’re in a race
(to the bottom)

Hey man. Not my style but sounds like everything is in it's place as you do want that Wall of Sound for this...But that is not why I'm glad I stopped by

SO I WENT TO CRIT THE MIX & FOUND SOME LYRICS i NEEDED TO HEAR TODAY...From freakin' GRUNGE of all places....Not my style but glad I listened. 2 lyrics stuck out for me today on this tune.

Once more, you resolve
To fix a problem, you can’t solve (was literally ready to text someone about something that happened 5 months ago to ONCE MORE RESOLVE TO FIX A PROBLEM I CAN'T SOLVE---so for one more day I will let it go)

Regret, your decision (IT'S MY FUCKING CHOICE & I AIN'T GOING THERE TODAY)

Good lyrics in there in all this...thx

I like it! High energy tune with really good guitar tones. i think the mix is where it needs to be as well
good job on this!

Great track man. Mix sounds final to me. I might MAYBE raise the vocals slightly to give it a more pop vibe - but honestly they're fine and the dominant guitars sound great. Great performances and composition. How was this recorded? A real band? Guitar VST's or real mic'd amps? Real drums?
