my band and i did these recordings on our own and they started off sounding pretty good. we spent a long time miking and recording each instrument, until it came down to mixing time. we have gotten together around 4 different times in a span of 2 weeks each time for about 3 hours or so. I am using logic express on a macbook with krk rp5 monitors. the mixes all sound good when im mixing with the monitors, but when i burn the tracks on a cd and listen to them in my stereo or car, they sound a good amount worse, and some of the track levels sometimes are pretty off.
if you can, please listen to these two tracks, and tell me if you notice anything, or if my friend and i are just being too critical of our own work. We're getting pretty frustrated, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
