a new one, "Lost Dream"

so much of the work i'm doing now, is really just about learning how to mix in a new DAW (presonus studio one)

for example,
For the vocal section, I played two keyboard parts, panned right and soft right,
and used a stock Wurlitzer and stock B3 organ plug with some effects in the plug on each.
Used my maudio keyrig direct to usb to play the keys. The presonus studio one sampler is called presence XT.

Two rhythm guitar parts, panned left and soft left.

Bass is the Carvin LB70 with the active electronics into my pedalboard, and into a sansamp bass di.

The beginning is interesting, I used a glass slide and miced my cab, using my usacg strat…

I played two different keyboard parts, don’t remember exactly what they were, but one was an electric piano for sure…

For the reverse lead in to the vocal section:
Starting on a common downbeat,
I played 8 guitar parts backwards, along with a bass, and two new keyboard parts…
I hit a note on each part, and let it decay… or in the case of the gainy electric parts, let it feedback…
Then I flipped them all backwards, and line them up against the downbeat of the lyric section.

yeah man. Sounds good. No comments on the mix. All good.

hey chili!
thanks for listening

i have a lot more going on in this one, than normal,
but a lot of it is really subtle,
so it's good to know it's still translating
