My song vs other

Hi can you please tell me the difference between my song and the sampler because I notice that my song is full harshness and not soft compared to the other song. how can you mix master music with louder and stronger song. Thank you.

A few things stick out on a quick comparison of the songs:
The reference song does a lot more with panning. Every instrument in your song is pretty close to the center, which means they all have to be a little quieter.
The reference song probably used EQ differently. The wind instruments on that one sound pretty different from yours.

Have you applied dynamics too everything? if you look at the waveform yours is continuously loud, the other has loud and shade. yours is punchy in it's balance and eq, the other is softer and has space and a more mellow feel. For the style of the music, it's just overpowering?
