"A Long December"

Here's a song I just recorded. It's a cover of "A Long December" by the Counting Crows. I'd really love to hear what you guys think.

I didn't do any EQ or compression, mostly because those things still baffle me, so if you guys have any suggestions in that area, I'd appreciate it. But any feedback is great.

Thanks.

And happy New Year.

A Long December

Hi There - I like this kind of stuff....simple style, guitar and voice, meaningful song. It was a nice, clean sound, which was pleasing to me. I would add some reverb at least though. Although I do love simple (and I am in a vocal/guitar duo which plays around town, so I know simple), I didn't get much feeling out of your performance. Meaning, there was very little emotion coming out in your voice and playing. Seemed a bit one dimensional. When going with something so basic as guitar and voice, even just for fun or for demo stuff, play with filling up the sound a bit with both the accompaniment and your voice. Changing volume from soft to strong can really add to a song.

Thanks for sharing your tune!

Jen
