Irish Medley

Hi, I recorded my Dad doing this Irish medley, the performance isn't perfect but tell me what you think. The vocals come in at 4:30, on the last part of the medley ('Raglan Road' by The Dubliners)

Anyway, feedback would be appreciated. I used Audacity, a Shure SM57 and Behringer XM8500 to stereo mic the piano. And the 57 on the vocals, guitar, and harmonica.

I'm not too keen on the piano sound but he decided it would be better muffled.

Hey Chris. Nice of you to do an Irish tune. The singing is grand, your dad di a good job. I think the rest is a little muddy, no single elemnt seems to stand out to me. I think the piano is a bit muffled and could be accoutning for alot of this, I'll have another listen tonight when I have more time.

Hey, just listened to it - is the first part of the medley 'Carrickfergus'?

The harmonica is unusual as a traditional irish instrument - it works well, though.

Overall, it's certainly authentic. It sounds like a hundred different Irish ballad albums that I have, so job well done, I'd say.
