Got the mud out of the mix - original bluegrass number "Mainline Runner"

I think my toughest problems in mixing has been to get rid of the mud on bass and guitar. I finally found an eq that works for bass, and an eq that works for guitar also. This is my original "Mainline Runner".

Andy Hatfield - guitars, bass
Mark Stoffel - mandolin
Ron Stewart - fiddle
Doug Knecht - banjo

Sounds perfect thru my JBL E100s here in the basement.

Really enjoyed strumming along too.

Fine picking there all around.

Playing on my full stereo, everything sounded good. I could only ask for more bass. Bluegrass and bass just seem to go so naturally together. Other than that, no nits on the mix.

Love the song. I love bluegrass.

I don't think you got the mud out of the bass tho. Sounds pretty muddy on my system. It gums up the whole low end.

Banjo, mandolin, and fiddle sound terrific. Great playing.

all those mid-range instruments blend beautifully together and it's all very, very smooth. I agree that the bass seems a bit muddy and undefined in comparison. but great job here, really. this sounds excellent. great playing, arrangement, and mix.
