First Shot at some Death Metal

Miscategorization quite bothers me - that's not death metal. At best, it's a hardcore band trying to sound deathy.

But that aside, the mix... I think the EQ of the snare and the brass stick out as the most "out of place" sounding things.. too roomy sounding, I'd bring down the mids. Would also give some more click to the kick to accentuate any blast/double bass hits and give it a more punchy feel. The other instruments seem to have been recorded well, although I can't really make out the bass.

Good for a first attempt.
 
sorry bout that...i wouldnt really kno anything bout death metal, but thats what they said they were or jus metal or something. i dunno. thanks tho.
