What keyboard did you use to get that nice organ sound on Taken?

I thought that Summers almost gone is recorded way too hot. It sounded distorted over here. But a Fantastic song! Great hooks!

i also listened to "open your eyes" i thought that it was cool. it started out sounding sort of "folky" and then got "late 50-early 60" sound in the guitar solo. it was recorded well. you play well.

I listened to "Open Your Eyes".

Cool tune. Not really my style but well done writing/performance-wise.

A little too much compression IMO, but I seem to use too little myself.;)

Definately deserves more than one star. I see the one-star bandit has struck again.:rolleyes:
 
Open Your Eyes....Excellent tune. Your acoustic sounds great and I really like when you come in with tremolo guitar. Great writing and great performance! I could use a little more crack in the snare drum, but that's just me. I LOVE the guitar solo. Nice, simple and melodic with great tone. What did you use for that? Nice job! OOH! I like the violin at the end!!

Your Oyster....Big Beatles fan? Me too! I like this tune a lot too. I thought the mix was a bit dark, and I had a hard time understanding the lyrics, and I wasn't crazy about the drum sound, but still a great tune!! Nice big sound!

Taken....I love major 7th chords!!! This is by far my favorite of your tunes! It's very melodic. Again, really nice big sound. Yeah!! Dude...I'm really digging this tune! Great use of the B-bender! It's like a country underlying, but it's not country at all. Nice harmonies. Again, personally I would like more crack in the snare, but who am I? Your Tele sounds beautiful!! Absolutely fabulous job man! Keep up the great work!
 
"Taken" is a very good song.Nice stereo spread with a lot of stuff going on.Sounds cool with headphones on.Vocals sound good but maybe just a tad to much of the doubling effect going on.Overall it's a good tune.

What kind of feedback are you looking for in general?You didnt specify that in your original post.

Have some stars too.
 
I really like "Taken" alot. Has a nice stereo sound to it...

the organ comes compliments of a good ol' casio ran through the pod's tube amp. weird, huh? yer right about "summer" being a little hot. i mastered it during a time when i was stuck in the "louder is better " mode. i regret it. glad ya dug the hook, though.

guitar on "eyes" is an epiphone casino through the pod's vox. yes, i have always been a beatles fan...even though i don't listen to them much anymore, it's all forever ingrained. D7 chord rocks!

What do you mean? :confused: I did not rate this song. it must have been somebody else. i have only rated something once sence i've been here and it's "my friend silence" by voxvender.

i don't know who rated this one star but it sure as hell was not me :mad:

BTY, completely OT, where in N.GA are you? i live just west of atlanta. we used to do weekend jaunts up to helen, elijay, jasper, taleulah gorge etc. for hiking and camping. i love it up there.

Hi Michael. I liked them all, but I think "Taken" was my favorite. I'm kinda partial to that organ sound. And i thought it was the best prodution of the three.

Really cool tune,definitly a dreamy feel to it.
Guitars were especially nice,how did you record them?

The only thing I heard was the clap sound went on too long.
Sounded good for the verses,mabey lose it during the chorus?
