Happy new year folks! I finally got round to doing a rough mix on this after it had been left abandoned on my hard drive for the past year...check it out. Feedback / criticism welcome. Ignore the minute of silence at the end 8)

Not a fan of the high-passed drums. I could imagine these working well over actual drums (or programmed drums that don't sound so sampled).

I'm enjoying the idea. I'm okay with the drum sounds, but I think the wah and lead guitar needs to come forward in the mix, they're a little "too shy". It's a cool idea that needs fleshing out, aka vox and the like.

Thanks for the feedback - I will have another go at the guitars, specifically bringing those leads forward, but for now I've remixed the drums and added some reverb to help blend them into the mix a bit. maybe this helps make them sound a bit more natural - how does it sound to you? 808 Drums Remixed (Desert Mirage) by FC1985 | Free Listening on SoundCloud
