critique this kings of leon/ foo fighters/ generic rock style song

im trying to get someone on here to put vocals to it but no luck yet. Im glad you like it, yeah the snare was a bugger to try and contain that ring but i couldn't eq it out. thanks for the feedback :D
 
the kit sounds too wet. there's a bit too much sparkle on the EQ. I'm wanting a little more meat out of the drums, and more thunk to the kick.

It seems a little swoop EQ'd.
 
Generally pretty good. I liked the feel and the energy.

Something about the snare is bugging me a bit. Might just be a bit too loud.

Guitars sound OK. If it were me I'd make cut somewhere around 1K to get rid of some of the flab and a boost somewhere just above 3K to give them a little more presence. The addition of vocals might change all that though.

Overall pretty good.
 
Thanks alot mate I'll make those changes you recommend and see what it goes like. Yea I think the snare's problem is it's tuned too high and so it sounds a bit thin and pingy.
