Hi all,

New grunge song written and recorded today - "Consciousless Mind". Can't hide the influence of "The One You Know" from Alice in Chains in this one:

CONSCIOUSLESS MIND
(Words by Jonathan Linton, Music by Jonathan Linton)

You hide, in plain sight
Waitin’ for your pray
Hungry eyes, gleem bright
Weak one gone astray

Unsuspecting
Creep, subdue, no
Self-respecting
Part within you

Trapped alone with your consciousless mind

I
Don’t understand
How you live
With a consciousless mind
So much you could give
If didn’t have
A consciousless mind

How can you live with a consciousless mind
How can you live with a consciousless mind

Once, in a while
When you jump the prey
Changes its profile
Exposed in light of day

Unsuspecting
Creep, subdue, no
Self-respecting
Part within you

I
Don’t understand
How you live
With a consciousless mind
So much you could give
If didn’t have
A consciousless mind

How can you live with a consciousless mind
How can you live with a consciousless mind

SOLO

I
Don’t understand
How you live
With a consciousless mind
So much you could give
If didn’t have
A consciousless mind

How can you live with a consciousless mind
How can you live with a consciousless mind

Very nice! Being old and generally despise the typical heavy on the low end' yours seems to land where I'd call neutral'. Flipping on a low lift' preset -sounds awesome too.

How about a little on the recording and your rig?
Thanks

Great job, snare sounds a touch more forward than the lead vocal. I'd drop the snare a db or 2.

I like the sound, hmm im experiencing hiccups and stutters in the playback. I thought it was a weird gate thing but ill have to check things on my end. From what i can tell this is really well done, great sounds, performance and mix. Will try and get a better listen.

edit to add-yeah directly from soundcloud it sounds great, you've really got your sound dialed in!

Really good song! I had the laptop plugged into the stereo for some streaming and pulled this up for a listen on the Vandersteens. It sounds great, The snare mentioned above didn't bother me at all. The drums are driving the song, so that fit for me.
