today was my first stab at a fully computerized song demo, tracked in reaper.
the drums are reasamplomatic-triggered freeware samples i found online. i used the blockfish compressor for the kick, snare, and toms.
the bass is some freeware bass synth i found through one of the fretted synth freeware bass amps.
the guitar is a tele copu with gfs rail humbuckers direct in through the simuanalog marshall sounding vst. the other guitar track is also direct, through the x-amp vst guitar amp sim. i also used the voxengo stereo touch vst for the guitars.
i think the guitar came out extremely well, also considering that everything i used was freeware or included in reaper.
how convincing is the guitar tone? any other tips on programing would be great. thanks!
