Been gone a while

Hi All: I have been gone from here a while. I have been upgrading my gear in the meantime, and have added about 500 songs to my site since then. I bought a couple UAD cards and am using the pultec eq, LA-2A, plate reverb, and the 1176LN on all my stuff. I have the other standard plug ins that come with the project pack, but haven't found them much to my liking compared to these 4. I also bought some used mackie HR824 monitors to replace my MAudio BX8's. Walter

You have some good sounds going on, Walter.

1088 songs on your Sounclick page?

That's one helluva set list.

Whiskey, Gin & Beer,
That's a razor sharp guitar sound walter.
Cool song.
Keep up the good work.

Hey Walter. Interesting approach, and I enjoyed reading your bio and your musical philosophy. I can't say that I've ever heard of anybody else improv'ing 100% of the time while playing all instruments and singing.

Do you have any favorites of your recordings? I'd love to hear your favorites in several different genres.

Nice work Walter.

Hi Chris: Thanks for listening. I think I am the only person in the world making it all up as I go along and playing all the instruments at once. It all came about over time due to the hassles of finding musicians to groove with - explaining I wanted to be loose yet tight, and finallly keeping them. I don't have any musical (or recording) training and this complicated things further. I started out as a harp player, then went to singing, then guitar, drums, and last keyboard (within the last 6 months), all basically because it allows me to play in basically a solo or band sound without having to rely on others. I like to change chords and time as it hits me. Playing with others, unless they are really top of the line musicians, things stay on train tracks in standard times and chord changes, which locks me up in about 30 seconds and I am done. As far as any songs that really stick with me, there really aren't any. They all seem to stay with me forever, and they all seem to fade away with each new one I do. Sorry, but that is the truth. Walter

maybe the keyboard stuff is my current favorite. It is pretty scarey, because it is so new. I am addicted to not knowing where I am going.
