30 second test of cakewalk home studio

Hey - I haven't done recording in a couple of years. Back then I had just a bit of equipment but a place to be loud. Now I have no equipment (sold for cash) and no place to record (live in second floor apt).

Anyhow I made a 30 second clip with drums, guitar, and bass just to see what I could throw together using the basics of cakewalk HS and fruity for drums.

I have no way to upload it though. Can someone do it for me? Thanks!

Strange. I get this stupid download offering to update my PC with some ridiculous casino program each time, but not popup browser windows...

Most of the guys here use NWR.

After I clicked that link I counted 27 pop up pages I got. It took almost 5 minutes to stop them from coming and I had to restart.

You didnt get them all from nowhereradio.

Don't use that POS Internet Exploder, use Mozilla! :)

I ain't denying anything, and I am EXTREMELY offended that you are calling me a liar!

There IS NO SPYWARE OR POP-UPS ON NOWHERE.

And you can ask ANY longtimer here that I will NOT, and HAVE NEVER accepted that sort of advertising!

Lemme, guess, you're using AdAware or other 'ParanoiaWare' and it's coming up with a 'low level' message about COOKIES.

Care to define what a cookie is?

As far as Pop-ups, show me the code, and screen-shots, and get all those 'Everyone else' people to send it to me as well.

Occasionally, the ad company has let one slip through, but I nail them every time. We have NEVER had an occasion where more than one showed up.

Yeah I know. That's why I said stop denying it. I've accessed it at two different computers three times each. I get about 15 to 20 pop up ads (just like everyone else is getting) and two different spywares.

Don't deny it. It's OK man, it's advertising.

So what is your "other" username?

Just 30 seconds testing how my sound quality is for small guitar to fx to pc to speaker setup is.

No big deal

Haha! Broken link shmuck! Why are you bustin Waldo's balls? Not only does he do a kick ass job, but he's offered to look into it if you aren't just talking shit, and you didn't give any more info, so.... looks like you're just talking shit, huh?

You should probably stop using Kazaa if you are sick of popups.

Good luck getting that to happen. :p

Not only is Dragon notoriously "unavailable"... but IP tracking isn't exactly the most effective way to "ID" a poster. Most people, both dial-up users and broadband users (i.e. Cable and DSL) use dynamic IPs. Which means that each time they "log-in" (whether it be from dialing in or booting up) they are assigned a new IP from a "gross" of IP's that the ISP owns. These days it's harder and harder to get a static IP, so most broadband users just opt for DHCP (or don't know the difference and don't care :p).

So, if you're really lucky, it'll be someone with a static IP (not so likely) and you can nail them... but if not... at best, you'll figure out which ISP they use... which doesn't get you much closer to their real "ID".

It depends. Some people are stupid enough to troll from work. In which case the Admins at the persons place of employment are mare than happy to step on them for you....We live for that sort of thing(unless its another admin or something).

Some people are stupid enough to troll from a school computer, which often has static IP's, or the very least cooperative security people.

Also, sometimes an IP will be registered to a small unknown ISP, if it you have several trolls using the same unusual provider, and only one real member....You can pretty well connect the dots...and ban the entire IP range if neccesary

NO TROLLS IN MY WOODSHED. They only seem to come out of the woods when it's time to feed. Too bad I can't shoot em' off of my porch with a digital 12 gauge. :)
Disclaimer: Really, I mean this with as much video game sincerity as possible!!! In otherwords, I make love not war!!!
