U.K. Mixers

Can anyone compare the Cybercraft M4 with the Mackie 1202VLZ pro for me. Its just that the M4 is cheaper to buy in the U.K. than the Mackie and a friend has asked for my help in picking a mixer. Mackie's preamps are a bit dull I think, how do the M4's sound.

Are there any other mixers, in the same price region, worth looking out for, when buying in the U.K.

Thanks.

:) I cant believe i wrote Cyber, what was I thinking of.

Anyway, I read somewhere that Mackie suits Fender and Soundcraft suits Gibson. Is this true?, as my frend has a jazzmaster + fender amp....

thanks.

I've never heard of one matching a guitar better than another. The M series use the same preamps as their bigger Ghost console. The Ghost is considered on of the best mixers for under a grand.

In your position I would go with the Soundcaft since it's cheaper and arguably better.
