Need some professional ears to give a "Final Master" a listen.

I've been fighting for weeks to re-track this song with my band but they don't hear an issue... So I decided to post a 30 second clip of the track (uncompressed .wav straight from the mastering studio) It's 13mb in size.

I wont give away what I think is wrong with it to get the most unbiased opinion on this clip as possible.

So after a listen is this ready for world wide distribution? Because our release date is coming up very soon! Thanks.

Sounds a bit smashed to me and I think I'm hearing some snare hits distort in a not so nice way.

Yes, the drums do sound a bit smashed. I don't hear a bass guitar, or any bass except from the drums. Might be these speakers though.

The drums seem way in the background compared with the guitar even though the levels seem OK. Hard for me to describe.

I would find a new mastering engineer.

Seriously, if this is for world wide distribution, you owe it to yourself.

Mix seems like it's would be good...but the mastering made it lose it's value.

And we have a winner! Is this normal sounding? should it be fixed? would you be upset after purchasing this track off iTunes with it sounding like this?
