Monitor Recommendation

I really like ALesis monitor ones - and NOT just beacuse of the price. They fit your budget and then some, so you've got some extra money to play around with for other things.
Bottom line: if you can, take a CD that you really KNOW well sound-wise and go listen to different ones.
Listen for what sounds ACCURATE and DETAILED and BALANCED - not what sounds best.

I took several CD's I created to MARS Music and A/B several of their monitors. I found the Monitor Ones to be very muddy sounding. Most of the other monitors made my mixes sound too good, and I knew I had some problems with the mixes. I like the Yamaha NS-10 the most because it revealed those problems in my mixes the best. It was like day and night between it and the other monitors.
