Hey guys, how do you limit the highs when you are mastering. So that they don't hurt when someone is listeining to it at high volume??

Use EQ.
I'm not sure what you mean by 'limit the highs'. It makes evil thoughts of Multiband Compressors pop into my head.

If you're talking about not distorting the high end, then just don't do it.
If the high end is already distorted and the mix engineer didn't notice it, notify him. If he tracked too hot and there's nothing to be done about it short of starting from step one (it happens more often than I care to say), there you go.
