i have to write this paper

i have to write this paper for a college class that i'm takin and i wanted to write about mixing mastering........... i know there's a difference between a mixing engineer, a recording engineer, and a mastering engineer, but to sum up all of those occupations into 1, will it be valid to call them an audio engineer?

good lord, calm down. people don't spend their entire day on this site. We do have lives on the weekends.

you really don't even need a search engine...just understanding what the two words are can help you define it.

mixing engineer...someone who mixes audio
recording engineer...someone who records audio
mastering engineer...someone who masters audio
audio engineer...someone who works with anything audio


So yes, audio engineer is generic enough to mean any of those three occupations.
