Help modifying my mixer???

I have no idea if this is the best place to post this so I am cross posting.

I bought the Beringer 802 mixer (please dont hate me) and I definitely want to do the pre/post mod.

....which is that each of the 4 mono chans are set up as AUX1 > Pre fader send and AUX2 > Post fader send.
However you can switch the AUX2 to Pre fader by cutting the POST jumper and adding a PRE jumper (this is clearly labled on the board)

I figure since there are only two AUX sends on this humble board (please dont hurt me) I only need to convert 1 channel.

So............my question is this:

Can I cheat and do this from the underside of the board?????
(i.e. without having to dis-assemble all of the knobs and jack-nuts etc.)

I think I probably know the answer already.

I know some will say that if I have to ask then I should have someone more qualified do it but I have confidence in my soldering skills just not so much in dis-assembling the whole mixer.

Besides, how else am i gonna learn these basic survival skills.

Any help will help.
Thanks

Just take the knobs and stuff off. Its really not that hard to do.. and it will be a good exercise. If you cant handle disassembly, you shouldnt do the job. BUT YOU CAN. its easy!
Just put all the knobs and nuts in a container.. so you dont lose any!

Thanks Camn

I am goin to try it tonight.

I just got a parts bin/rack/multi-drawer thing that was being discarded at work.

perfect for keeping small parts seperated and notated for re-assembly.

I'll lett you know the results.
I'm pretty confident about it.
Thanks for the encouragement.
