free VST stereo imager for mastering?...no such thing?

Cool forum.....so cool i thought i would *actually* register

My inaugural post is this;

Is there such thing as a free stereo imager for mastering purposes in VST format?

Or is this just wishful thinking on my behalf?

I dont expect something of the caliber of Waves S1...just something to help give me a little extra spread.

I've found a few online...but none of these are for mastering(ie for giving STEREO files extra spread, as opposed to giving a mono track a percieved stereo image such as the Voxengo Stereotouch)

Any help would br greatly appreciated

Sure there are. I have a free plugins list on my website...check it out and do a search (Edit->Find) for "stereo"...there are several.

On a personal note, I find that stereo imaging plugins, even good ones like the waves, can sometimes do more damage than good...at the extreme they can even produce nasuea! If you're mastering your own mixes, then you should consider mixing for stereo image instead of trying to get it while mastering.
