Best MP3-encoder?

Hi

I didn't really know where to post this, so feel free to move it.

Anyhow. So far I've encoded my mp3s with lame using CDex, which is fine for quality, but, gosh, it takes sooooooo long.

I've got the latest lame_enc.dll - could it be the host (CDex). It takes more than a minute for an average song!

I dunno, that's what I use, I've never really paid attention.
