    A friend gave me a master he has done using Antares MDT.

    That master was a big improvement over his latter mastering works.

    Just curious what that VST exactly is...

    I hadn't heard of it until reading this post. I looked it up, and that thing looks awesome. I'm sure the learning curve is pretty intense, but Antares makes good stuff. Many people disagree with the compromises one has to make to use the mic modeler or autotune, but I don't think anyone would scoff at their ability to make good software.

    I'm curious about this one too.

    the vast improvement is most likely experience rather then gear. u'll be hard pressed to find a plug-in that u insert and it'll give u such a vast improvement. hard pressed to find any gear to do that
