Master Plugins?

Hey,
I am no mastering engineer, I just do it because the bands I record usually don't have the $ to get it done the right way... that being said, I do mostly rock recordings, and I get pretty good results using the UAD 1176LN cutting about 5db before eq. then a waves L1 Ultramaximizer or the waves L316 for limiting... Sometimes if the mix is too narrow, I will use Ozone 4's mid-side multiband to give more umph to the edges. and if I just need to squash the whole thing a bit, I use waves Rcompressor.

Booyah!

Ozone 5 for home mastering. Has a few different loudness limiters. Tube and tape saturation. A nice quiet multiband comp (I never use it). Digital and analogue EQ. Well worth the 250.00 bucks.

I think wavelab is one of the best tools for the job, it just works. That's what I use for all my DIY mastering needs
