Hi friends. I have a weird problem. For up lifting the music, Some times i use EQ in master chain.i turn down the hi cut spot to lift down the music and after that turn up that to lift up music , in lowest spot my music is going to clip. Whats the reason?

When you make a cut, there is normally a boost right at the cutoff frequency. It's just how eq works.

thanks alot for the answer. do you mean all EQs have this algorithm? and if it is, shoud i lower the gain at the cut off spot for flat result?

Also, most (i.e. minimum phase) eq filters shift phase of some frequencies. That could put two peaks into phase when they had originally been out of phase. Pretty much any time you eq a complex waveform that has been clipped or put through a limiter the peak will rise even if the average level decreases.
