Hi all, long time since I've been here......

I just completed a mix and master that sounds great everywhere.....Car, iPod, surround system, laptop speakers and more.....But when a track is played on an internet radio station it sounds like crap between other tunes.....The master wav files are damn near pegged in loudness....I convert to 192 kbps with dither....those mp3's even sound great on laptop and stereo.......is there anything I am missing?

Help would be great....got a whole album preview coming up on the 6th of October on Aiiradio.net.

Thanks in advance......
Blake

here is one of the tracks mastered and dithered at 192 kbps

internet radio and tv do severe compression similar to mp3.
nothing you can do about that....

IF you can find out what type of compression they use and how severe, you may be able to master for it.
maybe.

192 is pretty low fi and all sorts of stuff happens when it gets down there. What prog is used for conversion also makes a difference to the end result.
You would be best to ask the internet radio folk for their recommendations.
If yours sounds significantly different to other HR stuff on the radio then you'll need to rethink everything. maxed out levels don't always make things better.
