Want to get into sound engineering as a career!

OK I didnt know where else to put this so yer...


I have just finished A level examinations in Electronics, ICT and Engineering and I am now looking to find work in the field of sound engineering. I have a keen interest in this area and have experience in recording and live sound projects that I have been involved in the past. I have built my own small home recording studio and use industry standard equipment to record my own and other bands which I enjoy and am looking to make it my career. I have operated sound for various school productions which included micing drums and a full band and operating the PA system. I have played in a few bands over the last few years and am a competent drummer of 4 years and can play guitar. I am looking for work experience and ultimately a job as an assistant or runner in a recording studio and i just need some advice of where to go from here

Its a competitive field of work. You need to be the best of the best.

Start off at a local recording studio and start making solid mixes and albums, thats about all I got.
