Hey Gully,

I am pretty decent with Photoshop, so I took a quick crack at this for you. I wasn't sure if you were asking just to remove the specific items you mentioned and leave all the rest, which is a little difficult and would take more time, or if you just wanted the whole background removed, which is easy, so that's what I did :D Here's the pic with just a blank background: http://www.mediafire.com/i/?7mq07ic496fksli

If you have a different background, like a cityscape, or some other cool background that you'd prefer instead of the gradient I used, I could also drop that into the pic behind you. I think it looks pretty good like this though!

I majored in photography so I was about to do this, but looks like dewhitt has got it, nice work.

oh yea . . thats whats up!!! it looks smoove as hell.
i was originally just thinkin of the items i listed, but this is mad cool.
the onloy reason i was thinkin of just the list . . is cuz i saw this dude workin it with his cs5 program and he made it loook so simple . .. he had a picture of a group of people who were posing for a shot in from of chairs and a table . . he did a couple of clicks and the chairs were gone . . then he clicked a couple more things and some of the people in the group shot were "poof" "presto" gone . . and you could SEE the "wall" that they were standing in front of - as if they were never in the picture in the first place . .

BUT I REALLY FEEL WHAT U DID . . SO THATS WHATS UP!!!!
I COULD ALWAYS GOOGLE A COUPLE OF SHOTS LIKE CITY OF RICHMOND SKYLINE!!! -

Glad you like it! I've never seen CS5, but what you are describing sounds a little fishy to me. I don't know of any way to cut something out of a pic and then have the wall behind it already magically be there. But, then again, I'm not a graphics artist or anything, so what do I know. :D

Anyway, good luck with the pic and I'm glad I could help.

Best Regards,

Next time, put a blanket or sheet up with clothespins or spring clamps behind you and it'll make taking the backround out a LOT easier....

lol - sheet? lol - i actually wanted . . im not even goin there . . its all good

i did find out that the tool is called "healing" in whatever the latest photoshop elements is . . but again im QUITE APPRECIATIVE of this background . .
