CLUB speakers as MONITORS??

Hey, anyone using club/ PA speakers as monitors??

I just picked up a pair of EV Force I-25's after I caught a super deal.

I was thinking of using them as monitors for recording.

Does anyone already use this technique?

i had thought doin that a while ago - but everyone told me not to - they said . . . "trust! just get the right stuff first and u dont have worries later" - so i wen the actual MONITORS route . .

I tried monitoring through my PA....needless to say I bought a good set ofg monitors....Pa's are just not for monitoring.

Don't do it! If you use regular speakers for mixing/monitoring it will sound terrible when you play it on other systems. Just grab a decent pair of studio monitors. You won't regret it. I bought a set of KRK RP 5's. They are small but have a nice balanced sound considering the price is only $200.00 for a pair @ guitar center.
