    What Soundcards can record 8 tracks simultaneously?

    i was wondering which soundcards can record 8 or more tracks simultaneously?

    i am after the PCI ones really, none of them are clear at all on how many tracks can be simultaneously recorded, could you tell me any specific ones where you know how many tracks?

    most all of them will be able to record as many inputs as they have all at once. So if they have 8 inputs, they'll support 8 at a time.
    stay away from creative if you can. look at M-Audio

    Cheapest quality 8 in card I know of is the M Audio Delta 1010LT.

    But you still need preamps

    The Delta 1010 and the Mackie 400F I both have experience with, and both will record 10 tracks simul with no sweat at all.

    Delta 1010....but, buying 8 channels of preamps (and the cables) in addition to this can start to become a little expensive.

    Forget the PCI card. Just get a Firepod. Best bang for the buck.
