WAV Editng

I already use Cakewalk Pro Audio for sequencing MIDI but never use or care about its audio features. Now, at last, I can record the sounds of my MIDI (from SC-88 Pro) to a computer WAV file format (thru the LINE IN of my SB AWE32), but the WAV file requires more editing before it can be sent to the CD writer - mostly to reduce noise (not for mixing). My question is: Can Cakewalk do this for me or do I need another software?

It's been known to work. I even recorded 3 full CDs worth of stuff this way. But some time after I got a new soundcard, a new computer and Win98 instead of Win 95, it no longer did or does. :(
