I have a message in my voicemail on my cell phone that I want to get into my computer. Can this be done through the hands free headphone jack on the phone? I'ts not a 1/8" jack though. I've never put one of these on there so I'm not sure what kind of plug it is. I also tried just miking the earpiece and if I crank everything up I can hear it alright, and Sound qaulity isn't a big deal, but when I get the mic close enough to hear the voice I get crazy feedback or something. any suggestions? thanks a bunch!

Its NOT an 1/8".. its smaller (bastardproprietarygarbage!)...
But, I have made an adapter for EXACTLY that application...
STEP1: get a hands free headst from Fred Meyers... the chapest one possible.
It should be a small TRS jack connected to a headphone and a mic. TWO hot wires ONE ground.
if you ONLY want to record off of your phone (and not send audio TO your phone) then just cut the headphone off.. strip the wires, and wire it up to a jack that works for you.
