Sound Card - Mixer = ??

I am interested in getting a soundcard that doesn't require a mixer to monitor while I record 12-16 tracks at once. Does such a low latency card exist? I was thinking of getting 2 motu 896s until I found out that the cuemix function only works on 2 channels at a time. How about the Crest Audio or Metric Halo firewire interfaces? As you can see I am sorta into the whole firewire, all in one interface deal -- so simple, but does it exist?!

If you want that many tracks at once you should probably look into a ProTools system preferably on a Mac. You could use 2 Digi001's for interface.

Once you go over 8-10 simultaneous tracks you tend to break into the next price barrier. Especially if you need a lot of mic pre's.
