Sony PCM-7010F's & Sony RM-D7200

I'm as new to this forum as I am to home recording. I have a pair of Sony PCM-7010F time-code DAT recorders connected to a Sony RM-D7200 wired remote controller, which allows for automatic edits within 3 frame accuracy. Since I purchased these units, back in 1994, or thereabouts, I've used them to archive radio commercials produced by my advertising agency. Today, it appears this equipment is obsolete; yet, I still use them to enjoy DAT recordings, etc. And, since these units are still serviced by Sony Professional at a flat rate of about $890.00, I hope to be able to enjoy these units for a few more years. Thing is, I don't know of anyone, anywhere on the planet who, like me, is using this sort of equipment today for anything. Am I, indeed, all alone?
