SB Live! MIDI synth B -- what the heck is this for?

I run Cakewalk with a SB Live! Value card.

The sblive appears as three MIDI ports:
1. Creative s/w synth
2. A: sblive midi synth
3. B: sblive midi synth

I am able to load soundfonts into cakewalk using its soundfont manager. I can use these soundfonts by assigning them to a channel on the "A: SBLIVE MIDI synth" port. I choose the "A SBLive MIDI synth" port, select a channel, and then the port name will change to "Soundfont Device" and a list of soundfont banks and patches will appear in the menus. I can select from these banks and patches to get my desired sound.

However, when I try to assign a soundfont to the "B: SBLIVE MIDI synth", none of this happens. None of the banks or patches show up in the menu. It just says "none".

Can you use this port for soundfonts? If so, how? If not, then what the heck is it for?
