Running AudioDesk Without The MOTU 828?

hi. i have a powerbook, and i'm running audiodesk with the 828 firewire interface. it's not a bad little setup, but i'd like to be able to mix/edit on the road...you see audiodesk won't run if it's not hooked up to the interface. when i try to start the program when i'm away from the interface, it says it needs the outputs of the 828 interface to run...

does anyone know of any way i could fool audiodesk into running when it's not hooked up to the 828? otherwise, my laptop is not all that portable...

I'm not sure if it is possible. I don't know for sure but it might be using DSP on the 828 and when it's not hooked up it might be impossible to activate or open all the drivers.
