Rookie Questions , Which DAW for Windows ?

Likewise.

What I like most is that I will encounter something that I want to do, and I go 'I wonder if I can do this?' and sure enough, I can in nearly every instance.

Here's something you don't find in every DAW . . . In Reaper you can edit a track while you are recording it. It's a bit tricky, but you create a project and start recording, then open a new project tab and into that insert the track that's being recorded on the other project, then play around with that as you much as you like. When you refresh the view, it updates the wav with newly recorded material.

The versatility of Reaper never stops surprising me.
