RME RayDat install on Windows 7

So, I got a new RME Raydat card(s), installed them, but the computer only sees a multi-media device. The RME manual says the puter should see the cards and start the windows device install, then look for software, at which point I insert the disk (the drivers and whatnot are from 11/2017), but this doesn't work, and I am warned to not manually install the drivers, lest I get the blue screen on start up. I can't find any drivers at the website, and am now stuck (just as I suspected I would be). Any RME users out there who can give some advice here? I'm running Windows 7 on a 2011 Dell i7.

Okay, so I took a chance and did what the manual said not to do, and it worked--no blue screen on start up, and I have Totalmix running. I'll be back if there are issues . . . .

I know peeps probably get fed up with me saying this but..There are some top 'puter brains over at soundonsound.com including Pete "the Scan Man".

Dave.
