I am recording into an Imac and it only has an 1/8 mic input. Does this cause a lack in sound quality as opposed to going in through a line input? Should I turn down the input setting on the computer and turn up my mixer? Would this reduce the noise? Etc., etc., I am fairly new to computer recording so any comments will be appreciated, thanks.
