Protools HD compared to Protools LE

well...more channels for one. higher sample rates, TDM based processing, more voices, more plugins available, more editing capabilities, surround sound, WAY more expensive...all to name a few. you can direct more specific pro tools questions to the link listed in my signature...but if you're looking for something for home use, you'll want to go the LE route.

LE i s also host based, so your computer has to do most of the work.

But Pro Tools LE stays my favorite home recording program. It is also compatible with the TDM versions, so you can do a pre production at home and finish it in almost every other studio.
