Pops and Clicks in REAPER

I'm still getting pops and clicks in the background of my Recordings using Reaper with Windows XP.
I've gradually increased Buffer size to 2500. Can the noise be removed from my last Recording or are
they permanent?

The short answer is: it depends. If the Pops and Clicks are recorded, you might be able to remove them, with something like Izotope's RX7. Have you confirmed the pops/click are recorded, or heard only during playback? You might be looking at a RAM issue, if you are taxing the system resources.

Yeah, some pops and clicks don't get recorded. When they do, Reaper has a cool method of dealing with them - one at a time.
