playing audio files through 002 NOT through Pro Tools?

I want to configure my PC so I can play wav/mp3 files from programs like windows media player through the 002. I've seen it done on itunes on a mac, so I assume it's doable on a pc as well. What do I have to do?





(I asked this already in the newbies forum but I don't think that was the right place for it...)
 
go into control panels,

then into "sounds & audio devices"

then hit the "audio" tab up the top

then change the playback option to the appropriate channel of the 002. If theres no 002 there im not sure you can do it....

reboot, and its done.
 
Make sure to download and install the WaveDriver. With v. 6.1.1 (and 6.1, I think) you CAN have the ASIO and Wavedrivers installed at the same time.
