PC Component Suggestions

OK, here's my problem. I need a computer for audio recording. It will record from 18 mics (yes it's a lot :D) via 3 Presonus DigiMax LT's and a Hammerfall soundcard. Can someone suggest which computer components would allow for this recording and editing? Need suggestions for CPU, RAM, HDD (RAID?). The audio will be copied to a CD and then wiped off the HD, so only one, maybe two audio recordings will be on the PC at once. Price should be kept as low as possible (if possible at all).

ASUS board...2003 models..perhaps P4PE
Intel 2.4gig CPU or higher
512 up to 1gig PC2700 DDR Ram..Micron or Crucial
Western Digital 60 up to 120gig HD with 8MB Buffer

Well there is a LOT of hardware choices out there. I'll just say that RAID should not be necessary. I agree with ASUS mobos, maxtor or WD hard drives, Plextor/TDK/Liteon for CDR drives, 512 meg RAM, Win XP Pro.
