I am planning on upgrading my system to a better analog board and computer setup. I am recording straight from the board to the computer so basically just using the board for its pre amps and eq then mix and master on computer.
Do you think it would be a better or more affordable alternative to purchase outboard pres and eq's comparable to what is in the board (planning on a soundcraft ghost) thereby eliminating the board alltogether. I need to have the ability to sometimes record 16 tracks simultaneously going into the computer as 16 separate tracks.
