I'm posting this here because the average person running a shoutcast server dosn't know what 1/4" is and its useless to ask for advice about audio gear on their forums. I'm usually the one answering all the questions there.
I've been looking for a cheeper soundcard to use for my shoutcast streaming audio station. Right now I'm using my Delta 44 but I don't like tieing my recording soundcard up all the time.
So what I'm looking for is a cheep soundcard with 2 rca or 1/4" inputs and all it has to do is 16/44.1.
Any one using the AUDIOTRAK Maya soundcards?
Are the drivers nice and stable?
Do they play good with other hardware?
Do they work in win2k, 98 and XP?
Are these cards like tradional multimedia cards or do they have fixed line input gain like my delta at -10(or +4 in the case or the delta)?
Any one know of anyother cheep soundcards that I should look at?
