PLEASE HELP … I am currently running an Eleven Rack by Digidesign that came bundled with Pro Tools LE 8.0 and
I have had as many have error issues and latency problems with LE. I also use a Korg D-1600 but I really like the editing/mixing
options that software offers. My question is this …
I am looking for a new interface to run with my laptop in order to make it truly portable to take
back and forth to practice and record there. I am torn between two setups.

I cant comment on the M-Audio but I know the presonus can be picky with firewire chipsets. I tried using mine with a desktop onboard FW and had nothing but problems. After I got a PCI card with a compatible chipset it's worked great. So see if you can find out what chipset your laptop has and see if it matches this list...

One consideration may be where the ins are if you rack mount them. The presonus has all the ins on the front and the M-Audio is on the back.
