I'm trying to figure out a playback system for recording in surround sound. My receiver doesn't have any other outs except the speaker terminals. How exactly do I hook this up for monitoring w/o latency when recording? Could I hook up my soundcard outs 1-6 to mixer inputs 1-6 and then take the direct outs on those channels into the surround receiver? Or should I use the aux/sub/main outs and just run direct outs into my soundcard for the channels I want to record? I'm just a bit confused about what I need to do. I'd like to be able to have a playback and no latency monitoring system for over dubbing in one tidy setup if I can. Thanks for any feedback.
