midi with the digi 001

I am using the digi 001 as my sound interface thanks to the ASIO driver made available with my upgrade to Protools 6.1.1. For all that are unaware, the driver allows you to use the digi as your sound interface with other non-digi programs such as Nuendo, Cubase and even Windows Media Player.
The problem is, When I try to sync the digi to my keyboard to record a MIDI sequence using Nuendo, The audio skips and the timing is off. But, when I sync it using Pro Tools the timing is fine. I'm, wondering if there is a setting that should be changed when using Nuendo. I've used Nuendo for pulling midi/ audio data from this same keyboard before with no problem. Then, shortly after I bought a Tranzport wireless remote controller, I started having this problem. I doubt it has anything to do with the sequencer on the keyboard because when I use Pro Tools, I don't have to change any settings at all. It syncs right up and pulls the audio ust fine. Any suggestions?

I just upgraded my Digidesign Digi001 or Digi002 drivers to be ASIO drivers... SweetCare
this page refers to windows xp not sure which os u are using.. but it basically says that if u use the wavedriver instead of the asio driver
then the midi problems dissappear
